Cleaning Methods We Use:

Shampoo Cleaning

In this method, we inject cleaning solutions and detergents at a high pressure deep into the carpet while simultaneously sucking out the dirt and grime. Next we scrub the floor clean using a special machine which removes any remaining moisture and odor from your carpet. After the treatment your carpet will look and smell fresh and clean.

Dry Cleaning

• In this method small amounts of water, detergent, and solvent are sprinkled over the carpet with a machine. Next, agitation from a brush cleaner on the machine combs the carpet and stirs up the dirt. This mixture of dirt and cleaning solution is then extracted from the carpet by a high powered vacuum system. An advantage of this method is there is little to no dry time due to the small amounts of water and detergent used.

Home Remedies

• If you feel frustrated that your recently installed carpet looks old and dirty you may benefit from the following do-it-yourself carpet cleaning tips:

• Hot Water Extraction, (or steam cleaning) is a very popular choice, and is usually the best way to go for a deep cleaning.

• Baking Soda and vinegar can be applied to small stains.

• Clean pet stains by making a solution of a dish detergent and hand soap. Use one quart water and one fourth teaspoon of detergent. Take a wet bar of soap and rub it on the stain, then clean this area with the water and detergent solution as well. After you have cleaned the area, rinse with a cloth and clear water. Be sure to pat the area with a dry cloth to eliminate excess water from the carpet.

• For really tough stains products such as “Folex Instant Spot Remover,” or “Oxy Carpet Cleaner” should be available at your local retail store.

• Protect your carpets by spraying them with scotch guard. Repeat this every 3-4 months. When your carpets are protected with scotch guard, some staining agents and especially urine is repelled. Simply place a clean rag or paper towel over the area and the urine or potential staining agent is lifted off the carpet.

• A combination of some or all of these tips may in fact eliminate your stain problem.
